WMS COG] About Trinity

If you study about the trinity, you can realize who Jesus is.
The trinity means that God the father, God the son, God the holy sprit are one God.

The prophet Isaiah prophesied that the Lord would be born as a child.
Isa. 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
Everyone knows that this prophecy was fulfilled through Jesus, the Spirit of God, who was born as a child through the body of Mary.

In Matt. 1.18-23, it is written, "...she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.. you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." And it is written, "...they will call him Immanuel" -which means, "God with us."
To speak again, the word "Immanuel" or "Jesus" implies that the holy spirit come in the flesh and saves His people from their sins and is with them. So Isaiah wrote about the child by using honorific titles as follows:

Isa. 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Jesus called himself the Son of God. But the Pharisees denounced Him because they believed Christ, the Son of God, to be God himself. (John 10:33)

So Jehovah of the Old Testament is Jesus of the New Testament.
Then, what about the Holy spirit?

1Cor. 2:10-16 but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The spirit searched all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man;s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the spirit of GOd.

As you see, no one knows the thoughts of God. But Holy Spirit knows even the deep things of God.
it means, Jehovah and holy spirit are same one.

At last, let's confirm that Jesus and Holy spirit are one.

Isa 9:6 he(Jesus) will be called Wonderful Counselor..
Jn 14:26 The Counselor, the Holy spirit, whom the father will send in my name..

They are same Counselor. So, Jesus is Holy spirit.
You have studied that Jehovah, Jesus, Holy spirit are one God.
Is that clear?

But there is a very important thing in the trinity.
Matt 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

The one God has appeared with three different names in three different ages-the age of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit-to accomplish the providence of salvation. God commanded us to baptize people in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, because He reacealed His mighty power by using these three names.

we should understand these three names of the Trinity, so that we will receive God's great blessing for salvation.
